This Cabin Thing
Random thoughts in no particular order:
- I forget what you said about the structure--how you were thinking about setting it up--put I think bouncing back and forth between you and your research and the past is a cool way to do it.
- I swear your accent gets stronger when you start railing against the Yankees. It's cute. In, you know, a totally manly, non-gay way. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
- Rednecks are indeed the last group you can make fun of with no one caring.
- I think we don't have enough stories about the "others" in American history--people/groups who shaped history without being famous, and--possibly--not always for the best. Does that make sense? I feel like all we get is DAR garbage. And the Kennedies, although I think Papa RumRunner is always portrayed more as a savvy business man instead of a crook. Which he was.
- Really, anything about a non-Kennedy American family would be good. They've been living off the Cuban missile crisis for like 50 years now. Why don't they just all go away?
- What was I talking about?
- Finally, I think you are on the right track. I know b/c I am a famous, well-respected author with impeccable literary credentials and a world-class education.
You're comments make me laugh. You should totally write a book. Speaking of, what's the status of your writing these days? Or are you to busy making babies and then doing this disrepuatable - and easy - thing: raising them instead of writing.
Cop out.
Thanks for listening, btw. I'm kinda stoked about these prospects although I guess we'll see if the rest of the world is as well.
